Reach Out — We're Here to Help

How to Get Started

Whether you're looking for a quick quote on a set of headers, want to discuss a full build coating package, or just have a question about which coating makes sense for your project — we're here to help. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A lot of the best conversations we have start with someone saying "I'm not sure what I need, can you help me figure it out?" That's exactly what we're here for.

The fastest way to get a response is to fill out the contact form on this page or give us a call during business hours. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours, and in most cases, you'll hear back from us much sooner than that. If your question is technical — like whether a specific material can be coated or what temperature range your application needs to handle — our technicians will handle it directly so you get an accurate answer from someone who actually knows the material.

What to Include in Your Inquiry

To help us give you the most accurate quote and fastest response, try to include a few key details when you reach out. First, photos of your parts are incredibly helpful — a couple of clear shots from different angles tell us more than paragraphs of description. Second, let us know what service you're interested in (ceramic, powder, XR2, or a combination). Third, tell us about your timeline — if you're on a tight schedule, we need to know that upfront so we can plan accordingly.

We also appreciate knowing the material and approximate dimensions of your parts, though if you're not sure about those details, don't worry — we can usually figure it out from the photos and your description of the application. The goal is just to give us enough information to point you in the right direction without playing twenty questions back and forth.

Business Hours & Location

Our facility is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time. These are our standard business hours for receiving drop-offs, pickups, phone calls, and in-person consultations. We're occasionally open on Saturdays for scheduled pickups or urgent project discussions, but that requires advance notice — so if you need weekend access, reach out during the week to coordinate.

For walk-in visits, we recommend calling ahead so we can make sure the right person is available to talk with you. We don't mind unannounced visits when we can accommodate them, but coating facilities aren't exactly casual environments — there's equipment running, materials curing, and safety protocols in place. A quick heads-up lets us give you our full attention.

Shipping Parts to LO-KO

If you're not local, shipping your parts to us is straightforward and something we do every day. We accept shipments through FedEx, UPS, and USPS. When sending parts, make sure each piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap or foam to prevent transit damage. Include a printed copy of your email confirmation or quote reference inside the box so we can match your parts to your account as soon as they arrive.

We'll send you a confirmation email as soon as your shipment is received and inspected. From there, we'll confirm the scope of work, finalize the quote if any adjustments are needed, and give you a firm completion date. Once your parts are finished, we'll notify you with tracking information for the return shipment or let you know they're ready for pickup.

Emergency & Rush Requests

We know that sometimes things don't go according to plan. If you're dealing with a deadline that's suddenly moved up or a race event that got rescheduled, let us know. We offer rush service for qualifying projects, and while it's not always possible to accommodate every timeline, we'll always be honest about what we can realistically do. No false promises, no fake timelines — just a straight answer so you can plan accordingly.

Trusted by Builders & Racers

Don't just take our word for it. Here's what the community has to say about working with LO-KO.

★★★★★

I brought my LS swap headers to LO-KO after getting burned by another shop. The ceramic coating they applied has held up through two full track seasons — no peeling, no discoloration, nothing. My under-hood temps dropped by about 40 degrees. That's a real-world difference you can measure.

We run a small racing team and switch powder coating suppliers every season looking for better quality. We found LO-KO three years ago and haven't looked back. Their powder coatings survive road debris, curbing impacts, and constant track abuse. The finish quality is consistently flawless.

The XR2 piston coating was a game-changer for my turbo build. I was running into detonation issues at higher boost levels, and after applying XR2 to my pistons, I was able to safely add another 3 PSI. The coating is incredibly thin — you barely see it — but the thermal management improvement is real. Highly recommended.

What I appreciate most about LO-KO is their honesty. When I asked about coating my daily driver's exhaust, they actually told me I didn't need the full ceramic treatment — a simpler option would work fine. That kind of integrity is rare. They've earned a customer for life.

LO-KO handled the coating package for our entire show car — ceramic headers, powder-coated suspension components, and XR2 on the pistons. The level of detail and communication throughout the process was outstanding. When we pulled it out of the trailer at the show, people were asking who did the coatings. That says everything.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. No corporate speak, just real information.

How quickly will I get a response to my inquiry?

+
We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours, and most of the time you'll hear back from us within a few hours during business days. If your inquiry comes in over the weekend, we'll get back to you first thing Monday morning. For urgent requests, we recommend calling us directly during business hours.

Can I visit the facility before sending parts?

+
Absolutely. We welcome facility tours and in-person consultations during our regular business hours. It's actually something we encourage because seeing our setup firsthand helps people understand the level of care and precision that goes into every job. Just give us a call ahead of time so we can make sure someone is available to walk you around.

Do you offer free quotes?

+
Yes, all quotes are completely free. There's no charge for us to review your project, look at photos of your parts, or discuss your application needs. If your project requires additional work beyond what we initially quoted, we'll reach out for your approval before any additional charges are applied. What we quote is what you pay — no surprise fees, no hidden costs.

What's the best way to ship parts to LO-KO?

+
We accept shipments through FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Wrap each part individually in bubble wrap or foam, use a sturdy box, and include a printed copy of your quote reference or email confirmation inside. We'll send you a confirmation as soon as your shipment arrives and is inspected. For high-value or oversized shipments, we can also arrange freight pickup — just let us know when you request your quote.

Do you handle international orders?

+
Yes, we accept international shipments on a case-by-case basis. International orders require a bit more coordination due to customs documentation and longer transit times, so we'll work with you directly to make sure everything is handled properly. Contact us to discuss your specific project and we'll outline the process, timeline, and any additional considerations for your region.

Can I request a rush order?

+
Rush service is available for qualifying projects, subject to our current workload and the complexity of the job. If you have a deadline that's moved up or a race event that got rescheduled, let us know as early as possible. We'll give you an honest assessment of what's achievable and won't promise something we can't deliver. Rush orders may include an expedited service fee depending on the scope.

What payment methods do you accept?

+
We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, bank transfers, and checks. For larger fleet or team orders, we can also set up invoicing with net-30 payment terms. Payment is typically due upon completion of the work, before parts are shipped back or released for pickup. We don't require upfront deposits for standard orders.
